Over the next decade, the Department of Agricultural Microbiology aims to become one of the leading departments in the field at both local and regional levels, in order to contribute to the objectives of environmental development and conservation.
In line with the mission of the Faculty of Agriculture and Natural Resources at Aswan University, the Department is committed to producing graduates who excel both academically and practically, in order to meet the needs of the local labour market and to utilise applied microbiology, biological treatment and biotechnology in reducing environmental pollution, promoting environmental sustainability and fostering the development of the local community.
1. Updating the department’s educational programmes and syllabuses.
2. Training academic and research staff to an outstanding standard in order to enhance research and academic standards.
3- Enhancing the skills of staff and technical personnel through participation in high-quality training courses.
4- Linking scientific research to issues of agricultural production, environmental protection from pollution, and resilience to climate change.
