Agricultural microbiology department is concerned with teaching the basic concepts of microbiology and the applicable role of microbes in recycling wastes and addressing environmental pollution and preserving environment and also the role of biotechnology in producing fertilizers and biocides.
The department of agricultural microbiology seeks to become one of the distinct scientific divisions at the local and regional level to serve the goals of improving environment and preserving it.
Within Aswan faculty of agriculture and natural resources’ mission, the department is committed to preparing distinguished graduates scientifically and practically to fit to the local labor market’s needs and using applied microbiology, biological treatment, and biotechnology in reducing environmental pollution, and environmental sustainability and improving the local community.
