Achievements of Agricultural Experiments and Research Center 2022-2023:
- Conducting water sample analyses of wells for some companies located in the desert hinterland of Aswan Governorate.
- Planting greenhouses at Sahari Educational Farm with various types of vegetables.
- Continuing the operation of the bakery unit to serve the educational and research process at the Faculty.
- Experimental operation of the milk machine for dairy animals at Eneba Farm.
- Establishing an economic studies and feasibility studies unit as part of the Agricultural Experiments and Research Center.
- Spraying public health pesticides to combat pests at the student Hostel based on instructions from the University President, under the supervision of the pest control unit at the center.
- Maintenance of the agricultural meteorology unit at the Faculty farm within the university campus at Sahari, donated by the Agricultural Research Center.
Previous achievements:
- Work on finishing from preparing 2 sheds from chicken sheds in Oneba Farm in Nasr AL-Nuba
- Make 50% of chicken sheds in Oneba which represent in Digging foundations, pouring concrete bases, installing columns and Iron ceilings
- Installing 4 greenhouses with an area of 9*40 in the area allocated for the college in the deserts of the airport road facing the university, and planting vegetables (peppers, eggplant, zucchini) in these greenhouses.
- Buy calves for fatting under the protocol which signed between Aswan university and Co-operation committee
- Implementing a training course to serve students, graduates and others from the surrounding community entitled “Ice Cream Manufacturing Technology and Quality” from March 27-28, 2019. Course coordinator Dr. Wael Al-Qat.
- Cultivating some vegetable crops as educational models for students such as garlic, peas and zucchini in the greenhouses located on the university campus in Sahari.
- Continuing to follow up on the Barhi palm farm in an area of 6 acres in Nasr Al-Nawiya Farm, which was planted last December.
- Working on equipping the bakery unit at the college by installing doors, windows, floors, and connecting electricity and water (implementation rate of about 60%) and it is scheduled to be operational soon.
- Receiving the components of the drip irrigation network for an area of 10 acres donated to the college from the project to build resilience of food security systems in Upper Egypt (climate change) in preparation for its installation on the farm facing the university on the airport road.
