With the climate changes that the world is witnessing, the agricultural sector, like all sectors, is affected by climate changes and what is related to it from changing planting and harvesting dates and the difference in the life cycles of many pests with the emergence of new pests, in addition to the scarcity of rain and drought waves as well as floods and others. From this standpoint, knowing meteorological data accurately and daily can help in predicting the climate and taking the necessary precautions. The Central Laboratory for Agricultural Climate Research was established as a specialized scientific institution affiliated with the Agricultural Research Center of the Ministry of Agriculture. One of the fruits of the serious and fruitful cooperation between Aswan University through the Faculty of Agriculture and Natural Resources on the one hand and the Central Laboratory for Agricultural Climate on the other hand was the support of the college with an advanced meteorological station that serves the research and scientific aspect of faculty members, assistant staff and graduate students in various departments of the college. This station provides comprehensive information about solar radiation, air and soil temperatures, wind speed and direction, and others through a set of sensors. This information is available every hour throughout the day, equipped with illustrative forms and charts that show the different relationships between them to make it easier for the researcher to understand the results. The station is equipped with a solar cell to charge the battery and has an information line connected to the Internet, so it does not need any connections, whether for electricity or the Internet. All the researcher has to do is enter the station’s website and specify the time period for which he wants to know the meteorological data and specify whether the data is hourly, daily or monthly average, and then download the required data in the form of an Excel file or charts.
