Today, Monday, Aswan University Council No. (114) was held under the chairmanship of Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman, President of Aswan University, and in the presence of Major General Ashraf Attia, Governor of Aswan, deans of faculties and advisors to the president of the university.
Prof. Ayman Othman inaugurated the work of the Council by extending congratulations to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, on the occasion of the new Gregorian year. The Council of Aswan University extended its thanks, appreciation and best wishes to the political leadership on the occasion of visiting Aswan Governorate and honoring his sovereignty, which added joy and pleasure to the people of Aswan and the opening of many national projects.

Major General Ashraf Attia, Governor of Aswan, stressed the importance of the President’s visit to Aswan Governorate, which was beautified and adorned to welcome His Excellency. Aswan Governorate is one of the most important tourist destinations in the world.

Major General Ashraf Attia stressed the importance of the university’s role in being a house of expertise in various engineering, medical, scientific and research fields, and that Aswan Governorate is witnessing a great development in infrastructure and roads, such as the compost road, which will be completed within a maximum period of 8 months, and many roads are being worked on in full swing in The governorate, which will transfer the governorate to its natural place as the capital of culture, economy and Arab-African youth. The infrastructure is one of the most important factors attracting investment to the governorate.

Prof. Ayman Othman, President of the University, referred to the university’s preparations to perform the first semester exams according to the time map and timetable approved by the Supreme Council of Universities for the current academic year 2021/2022, on January 13, 2022, for the end of the first semester in universities.

The study was launched in the academic year 2021/2022 on October 9, and the study is scheduled to continue in the first semester for a period of 14 weeks, and the first semester will end on January 13, 2022.

His Excellency stressed the application of precautionary measures such as wearing medical masks, observing social distancing in committees, thermometry and other precautionary measures that preserve the health of students and university workers from the Corona virus.

On the sidelines of the council, Major General Ashraf Attia, Governor of Aswan, and Prof. Ayman Othman, President of the University, honored Dr. Ahmed Farman, a teacher at the Faculty of Archeology and a tourist advisor to the governorate, to be honored by the President of the Republic and his efforts in the visual vision project that is implemented on the land of the governorate. And Dr. Iman Wagdy, Head of the Art Education Department at the Faculty of Specific Education, for their artistic and creative efforts in drawing artistic paintings at the entrances and streets of the governorate during the visit of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic.
