The department aims at scientific excellence in the field of economics and agricultural extension, with its wealth and human capabilities, to be distinguished in its specialization and to become a distinguished educational, research and extension entity of a dynamic nature, capable of serving the requirements of the Egyptian rural and regional community by providing educational, research and advisory services to achieve Excellence for its graduates in light of local and global competition and the preparation of specialized scientific cadres that keep pace with the requirements of the labor market in light of the quality of education and scientific research achieved.
The department prepares qualified agricultural cadres, cognitively and mentally, to provide them with high-quality skills and creativity that help them innovate and create through the dissemination and application of knowledge for rational economic management and the results of applied research in pursuit of the optimal economic use of the limited natural resources in Egypt. It also adopts environmental and community service through the programs it offers. Specialized guidance and training, providing consultancy and training in the areas of specialization for institutions operating in its environment to develop their capabilities and the capabilities of their employees.
