The scientific research is the cornerstone of sustainable development, the main driver of civilizational, economic, and social progress for nations, and it represents a fundamental criterion for judging the level of sophistication of universities and their status at both regional and international levels. Excellence in scientific research is no longer an option but a necessity to keep pace with the demands of the era and the acceleration of knowledge.
In light of this pivotal role, Aswan University, under the wise leadership of Professor Dr. Loay Saad Al-Din Nasrat – President of the University, and Professor Dr. Mohamed Abdel Aziz Mahallal – Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, seeks to establish its position on the international map of universities by supporting the scientific research system and providing an encouraging research environment that contributes to producing solid and innovative scientific research capable of addressing societal problems and enhancing comprehensive development, achieving sustainable professional and academic advancement.
In this context, the Graduate Studies and Research Sector at the Faculty of Agriculture and Natural Resources – Aswan University plays an active role in supporting the research process, under the wise and conscious leadership of Professor Dr. Mohamed Ahmed Abul-Leil – Dean of the Faculty, where the sector works to achieve the highest standards of quality and excellence in graduate programs and scientific research, and to build research capacities capable of competing locally and internationally, thereby enhancing the faculty’s status among the ranks of distinguished faculties in this field.
The sector is keen to support graduate students and researchers, encourage scientific publishing in prestigious international journals, and promote applied research related to agricultural and environmental development issues, serving the local and regional community and aligning with the Egyptian state’s vision for sustainable development 2030.
The sector also strives to coordinate efforts aimed at supporting scholarships, grants, and scientific missions, organizing conferences and scientific workshops, encouraging international publishing, and supporting research and applied projects, contributing to achieving sustainable development and building a knowledge economy.
