Today, Tuesday, Prof.Ahmad Ghalab – President of Aswan University - witnessed the events of the presidential initiative(Sports National Security),attended by Dr. Ayman  Ossman  vice –president  of High Studies and Researches University ,Dr.Magdy Mohamed Ali  vice University for Helping  Society  and Developing Environment , Dr.Adel Makky Deans of  Faculty of Physical Education and number of Representatives of the People's Assembly and the Senate and partners of success, the Directorate of Youth and Sports in Aswan, and some association. Prof. Ahmad Ghalab President of Aswan University confirmed that Aswan University had a responsibility of activate and applying the presidential initiative (Sports National Security) through the orders of Abd Al-Fatah Sisi President of Republic to activate sports and students activities in Universities .The initiative launched with the beginning of Academic year (17, October, 2020) under the care of The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Supreme Council of Universities. Today Monday, Aswan University Council (101) has been hold headed by Prof.Ahmad Ghalab president of Aswan University, attended by Dr. Ayman Osman –Vice President of High studies and researches University-, Dr. Magdy Mohamed Ali – Vice President of helping society and developing environment -,and deans of faculties . Prof.Ahmad Ghalab- President of Aswan University - opened works of council and congratulated students and teaching staff and working staff on Christmas. Council congratulated Faculty of science on approving the faculty program from National Authority for Accreditation and Quality. Prof.Ahmad Ghalab confirmed through Council on the importance of finishing the medical and healthy projects which belong to University Hospitals. Aswan University Hospital witnessed developing in various sections which considered direction for all Aswan’s patient and patients of Southern Upper Egypt to receive medical service through prequalifying and raising the efficiency of cadres and medical experiences. On Sunday morning, Prof. Ahmed Ghallab-Aswan University President checked the book fair in the university  and followed applying all the precautionary and preventives measures when entering the gate of the university and the gates of self -sterilization, wearing the medical masks, keeping the social distances, and works of purifying and spraying that happen periodically in the university buildings as keenness on the safety of students and university employees and visitors of the university specially within the light of holding the book fair at the Faculty of Agriculture at the campus in Sahari. Prof. Ahmed Ghallab Mohamed- Aswan University President confirmed after holding  the meeting of Supreme Council Universities on Saturday at the headquarter of Fayoum University,in the attendance of Minister of Education, Minister of Technical Education, Heads of Governmental Universities, Secretary of Supreme Council of Universities headed by Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Prof.Khald Abdul Ghaffar. Prof.Ahmed Ghallab Mohammed- Aswan University President stated that today, on Wednesday, the announcement of the winners of the position of the head of students’ union of faculties and his vice has been announced, after finishing from conducting the elections of head of faculties federation that includes the secretaries, assistant secretaries at the faculties of university that begins from 9 am until 1 pm on the level of 18 faculties and the Nursing Technical Institute with applying all precautionary and preventive measures for confronting the emerging corona virus according to the university’s plan through the works of the elections of students union on the level of university. Prof. Ahmad Ghallab President of Aswan University said that in the frame of activating the university plane of students’ activities during facing covid-19 with all precautionary and protective measures in place today finished all activities of sport festival of Egyptian university under the slogan (Athletic Excellence Festival 2020/2021) during the period from 6 to 14 August 2020. Prof.Ahmed Ghallab added this festival was holed under the leadership of Dr.Khaled Abd-Al Ghafar Minister of higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr.Ahraf Sophy Minister of Youth and Sports, Mr. Hatem  Yosry  Yousef –General Manger of Youth Care in Aswan University – and  Mr. Ahmed Taky Qasm – Manager of the Mathematical Activity - . Athletic excellence festival contained many of sports games. 432 students joined the festival. Today, on Monday, Prof. Ahmed Ghallab-Aswan University President witnessed the workshop and visit of Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center in the university in the attendance of Dr. Nadi Kamal Aziz- Director of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center at the university, Dr. Adel Makki- Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education, and the administrative team at the center on the morning of Monday with a technical support visit to the Faculty of Physical Education in the university. Prof. Ahmed Ghallab confirmed the importance of revision all files of the Faculty that haven’t been accredited to attach with the rest of faculties that have gotten the accreditation in the light of programing and institutional accreditation by the National Authority for Assurance Quality Education in Egypt. Prof. Ahmed Ghallab- Aswan University President has participated in the annual workshop that has been organized by Fulbright Authority for the university leaders in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research  that has been held during the period from 10th until 12th the current December in Hurghada city in the participation of 12 university presidents, 12 vices university presidents, Director of Scientific Research Academy in the attendance of Dr. Brian Darmody- Executive Manager of Research Cities Federation  for universities in United States and members of Fulbright Authority Office.
